His art

Kaoru defines himself as “abstract then figurative”; “since 1984, after my arrival in France, I have consciously excluded any figurative image. But, for several years, I have been spending my holidays in Dordogne and I am paying more and more attention to the abstract beauty of nature. Indeed, I understood that there is both figurative and abstraction in the creation of the natural domain. I am particularly drawn to the beauty and strength of frozen trees, stripped of their leaves in winter. Nature moves me as does the light that envelops it. This is how I became aware of the duality of abstraction and figurative.”
